CLE Electric Proudly Powers the 2026 Patriot Games at SPIRE Academy
CLE Electric was proud to play a role in powering a truly historic event as the 2026 Patriot Games came to Northeast Ohio and SPIRE Academy in Geneva.
Held August 9–11 as part of the nationwide Freedom 250 celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Patriot Games brought approximately 120 outstanding high school athletes from across the United States, territories, and tribal nations together for three days of competition celebrating strength, endurance, teamwork, perseverance, and American spirit.
Behind an event of this size and significance is an enormous amount of planning, infrastructure, and teamwork. CLE Electric was honored to provide electrical services supporting the Patriot Games and helping bring this nationally recognized event to life.
A National Spotlight on Northeast Ohio
SPIRE Academy provided the backdrop for a wide range of athletic challenges, from traditional American sports and team competitions to fitness tests, a military-inspired circuit, and obstacle courses. The competition culminated Tuesday evening with an American Ninja Warrior-style finale featuring the event’s top athletes.
The Patriot Games also brought a national spotlight to Northeast Ohio. The competition was streamed on the ESPN App, with a primetime special scheduled to air on ESPN on ABC. The finale welcomed President Donald Trump, ESPN personality Pat McAfee, government officials, members of the media, athletes, families, and guests to SPIRE Academy.
At the conclusion of the competition, the top male and female athletes each earned a $125,000 college scholarship, recognizing their exceptional performances throughout the three-day event.

For CLE Electric, being involved in the Patriot Games represented much more than another project. It was an opportunity to contribute our expertise to an event celebrating young athletes, our country’s history, and a milestone that will only happen once: America’s 250th anniversary.🇺🇸
